
The Better Business Bureau Third Annual Shred Day held on April 18, 2009
The Better Business Bureau Canton held its third annual shred day Saturday April 18, 2009 to promote identity theft prevention and awareness.
The event started at 9:00 am at Downtown Ford's auction lot on Tuscarawas Street in Canton Ohio. It was a beautiful sunny day in Northeast Ohio attracting donors who were looking do some spring cleaning and dispose of their sensitive information.
Throughout the day, free TV converter boxes donated by Arthur Middle Holding Co. were offered to each vehicle, and cross-cut shredders were given away to every fiftieth car. Other donations included: first aid kits, identity secure pens, and fire safe security boxes. By the end of the day there were nearly 200 vehicles in attendance, shredding more than 22,000 pounds of paper.
