The Better Business Bureau Second Annual Shred Day To "Secure Your ID" held on May 3, 2008
The Better Business Bureau Canton held it’s second annual “Secure Your ID Day” Saturday May 3, 2008 to promote Identity Theft prevention and awareness.
The event started at 9:00 am at Sure-Fit Autocare Center next to Downtown Ford in Canton Ohio. It was a dreary day, raining off and on most of the day, but the weather could not keep over 100 people from taking advantage of this free event.
Throughout the day bags of information on how to prevent identity theft were given to each vehicle and cross-cut shredders were given away to every fiftieth car. By the end of the day there were over 110 vehicles in attendance, shredding more than 15,000 pounds of paper.
